Awesome Sound! Apr 05, 2010 I've been using this unit for roughly a year now and (for the most part) I love it. The sound quality is phenomenal and I can't imagine why I waited 18 months to make this purchase.
That being said, I do have a couple small complaints.. First (and most importantly) the various volume controls don't offer a volume adjustment for in-game chat which tends to be very soft. I have a difficult time hearing my friends and teammates when on Xbox live. I can't for the life of me figure out why they wouldn't add an adjustable control for the chat channel. Second, the clip that holds the mic in place is plastic and will fatigue with use, eventually breaking as mine did.
Between those two niggles, I had to dock the unit a star, but if rated on sound quality alone, this one would get a solid 5.
HUGE sound quality upgrade from turtle beach Mar 15, 2010 I've previously owned the Turtle Beach x3's, then more recently the X3.1's and I have heard good things about tritton so I decided to give these a try since the price was right. First and foremost the sound quality is outstanding compared to my turtle beach headsets, I realize I am losing the convenience of wireless but to me it's worth the better sound and comfort. I love the individual dials to control sound volume for front, center, rear and bass channels. The included mixer unit is also nice because of it's ability to decode the dolby surround sound from my xbox via optical cable and distribute that so I can use 5.1 computer speakers when not using the headset.
All in all, very good bang for the buck here, I am officially a converted Tritton fan now.
Great Headphones Feb 12, 2010 I'm married, and my wife wanted some peace and quiet at night when I'm still up gaming. I bought the AX720s at BB, but they just weren't all that I thought they were cracked up to be.
So then I started looking around, and the AX360s are almost the exact same thing as the new AXPROs.
I waited for a few weeks constantly looking on here to see if there were any available, and low and behold there finally was. I bought 2 pairs, and they are excellent. Not to heavy, and they sound great.
Wonderful purchase.

Very Happy Sep 23, 2009 Very happy with this purchase. The quality and feel of the headset itself is perfect. I use it for PC gaming with optical out and also use it in the home theater and prefer it to the speaker sound system. The only technical gripe I have is that they did not include an adapter to plug in a mic at the optical module which forces you to use the (included) microphone extension cable and a (not-included) 1/16 to 1/8 adapter, which puts strain on the mic and causes it to break. This is also pretty much required for the XBOX360, as the mic plugs into your controller. However, they do include a headset-to-six-channel analog adapter, which includes the mic. Customer service has been awesome, responding within 12 hours both times, proving immediate solutions at no cost to me.
I've purchased other products from them too, and was just as happy.

Good product, but not the best Aug 20, 2009 If you are someone who has NOT experienced 5.1 surround sound headphones before, you'll think these sound godly, until you experience a different pair of headhpones.
Pros:
-5.1, way better than what you're prbably listening to now.
- MUCH more durable than most 5.1 headphones out there. VERY VERY sturdy.
-COMFORT is very very nice.
Cons:
-Bass is ridiculous. The way these things incorporate bass is to create rumble. The bass is not good compared to other headphones. At first I thought that it was a good feature to have rumble because it would resemble a subwoofer, but when you hear Turtle Beach's HPA2 headphones for example, you can see the difference between 'pure' bass, and just some silly, useless rumbling.
-The speaker sizes sucked. 40mm in the front, 30mm in the back??? When playing the game, you get nice, adequate sound in the front, but sounds behind you sound like they're coming out from some tin can speakers.
Conclusion: These are good for 5.1 first timers, but BUY THIS TO GET THE AUDIO BOX... and just get some Turtle Beach HPA2 headphones to replace these crappy ones.
